Abstract :

HSE management system is a part of enterprise management system. The stand or fall of HSE management has a close relationship with the employee's safety and health conditions, the company's assets operation condition, enterprise's external image, market competition situation and so on. At present, the existing HSE management tools have more than ten kinds, but lack of classification, when selecting managers in the blind, delay the optimal time.  Aiming at the situation, according to the theory of human - machine - environment, classifying the existing HSE management tools, and to study the relationship between the three categories. There are 3 types of HSE management tools in the management have the same importance, hence need to take all tools into consideration. A case study a yard-station of West-East Gas Pipeline, this paper introduces the correct and quick selection of HSE management tool, and the best time for the accident treatment.

Pigging operation is a highly risk work, the pipeline pigs may be stuck, lead to leakage accident, and even lead to fire and explosive hazard. In addition to the possible risks in natural gas pipeline pigging, it may appear some other risks in sour gas pigging operation which increases the risk of pigging operation. In line with the specific implementation flow of pigging operation, risks in the process of pig launching, operating and receiving are analyzed in detail, to guarantee the workers’ safe, and ensure the pigging operation be smoothly completed.

Title : Effect of Expansion Taper Angle on Velocity and Temperature Distribution of Laval Nozzle

With the development of gas industry, the production safety and production efficiency of natural gas is crucial, Laval nozzle is the core component of natural gas supersonic dehydration technology, and the study of its structure is helpful to improve the efficiency of dehydration. Based on the finite volume method, the numerical calculation model of Laval nozzle is established, and its flow field is analyzed by the Fluent. Then, the taper angle is changed to analyze the velocity and temperature of Laval nozzle. The results show that the flow field conforms to the characteristics of Laval nozzle, the outlet velocity decreases with taper angle increases, and the maximum velocity increases with taper angle increases. The outlet temperature increases with taper angle increases and the minimum temperature decreases with taper angle increases. With the increasing of expansion taper angle, the velocity field and the temperature field are compressed to the laryngeal and the shock wave closes to the laryngeal gradually. Those results can provide a reference for the choice of Laval nozzle.

Title : Morphological and Structural Properties of spin coated Tin Oxide thin films

Tin oxide thin films were successfully fabricated by the sol-gel spin coating technique for varying number of cycles. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The effect of a number of cycles on the structural and optical properties of SnO2 films was studied.  The crystallite size is changed from  7.7 to 31.1 nm by increasing the number of cycles from 12  to 24 cycle. Also, the values of the energy gap are significantly decreased from 3.7eV to 3.5 eV.

Elbow is often used in pipeline transportation, fluid flow velocity and pressure change dramatically when passing through the elbow, therefore the elbow influences the efficiency of pipeline transportation. In this paper, the model of oil-water two-phase flow is established by using FLUENT software. Having Simulated the different initial velocity fluid through elbows of different curvature-diameter ratio, the changes of velocity and pressure were obtained and the secondary motion was imitated. The change regulation of the pressure gradient and velocity along with the curvature-diameter ratio are summarized. It has certain reference value for the design and further studies of the 90 degree elbow.

Title : Disturbance Rejection with Highly Oscillating Second-order-like Process, Part V: 2DOF PID-PI Controller

The use of a 2DOF PID-PI controller for disturbance rejection of one of the difficult processes having highly oscillating characteristic with maximum overshoot of above 85 % is investigated. The proposed controller has five parameters reduced to three to be adjusted to produce successful disturbance rejection. The controller is tuned using MATLAB control and optimization toolboxes through using five error-based objective functions. To examine the effectiveness of the proposed compensator, it is compared with three controllers investigated before to control the same process. The proposed controller can compete well with the PD-PI and PI-PD controllers. It can generate time response to unit step disturbance input with maximum value as low as 0.97 x 10-4.

Title : Force and Stress Analysis of Connecting Rod bushing

As an important moving part of the compressor, connecting rod bushing is subjected complex alternating pitman force. Connecting rod bushing is connected directly to crosshead pin, pitman force is exerted on the bushing in the form of reaction. The mathematical calculation model of pitman force is worked out by analysing the gas force at different crank angle. By building three-dimensional model of moving parts with SolidWorks and then SolidWorks Motion is used to carry out the dynamic simulation, finally kinetic parameters of simulation model is obtained. Comparing the simulation results with the resolution function analytical calculation results, function formula of pitman force was verified. And then carry out a finite element simulation of connecting rod small end though ANSYS Workbench, it is concluded that the connecting rod bushing stress decreases with the increase of clearance at the allowed range of the fit clearance—connecting rod bushing with the crosshead pin.
